Researcher Mathy Vanhoef, from Belgian university KU Leuven, released information on his hack, dubbing it KRACK, for Key Reinstallation Attack. According to their site, ” Zyxel is aware of the recently found key management vulnerabilities in the 4-way handshake of the WiFi Protected Access II (WPA2) security protocol, as identified in US-CERT vulnerability note VU#228519, with vulnerable IDs CVE-2017-13077 through CVE-2017-13082, CVE-2017-13084, and CVE-2017-13086 through CVE-2017-13088. ” you could read more here .

According to Microsoft “A spoofing vulnerability exists in the Windows implementation of wireless networking. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could potentially replay broadcast and/or multicast traffic to hosts on a WPA or WPA 2-protected wireless network.” They are aware of this issue and have push out a patch in their windows update to fix the issue within Windows operating system from Windows 7 , Windows 8 & 8.1 and Windows 10 .
